Fields

Description provides a description of the VoIP account and by default this value is also used for Outgoing Name (CLI).

Account ID and password together form the login for the device and these are generated automatically.

Internal number (extension) is the internal number used to dial the VoIP account.

112 region is where the device will be placed. The reason you need to specify this is so that when a call is made to 112, you are transferred to the correct operator. If the location is flexible or abroad, select “rural”.

Outgoing number (CLI) is the number the called party sees on their screen. You can only enter numbers assigned to you here. The format for this is country code with +, region code without 0, phone number (). Should this not be possible because, for example, the PBX cannot handle the +, then “31501234567” is allowed.

Suppressing outgoing number speaks for itself.

Outgoing name (CLI) is used, for example, to send the name of extension with it in the display during an internal transfer.

Under may dial out to, you can specify whether you want to create certain restrictions for this VoIP account. By default, a user is allowed everything.

SIP Analysis

Is a device not working as desired and you are curious about the logging?

Tip: Advanced (SIP) settings

When creating a VoIP account, there is a second tab called Advanced (SIP) settings. Here you will find things like “Encrypted calling”, Connection handling, NAT support, Additional security, codec support and additional settings for Number recognition. The settings for the Caller ID Header can also be set here.

Note: Primarily, all settings under Advanced (SIP) settings are set to optimal. Only adjust settings if you are sure of the choices you make.
